We are a locally owned small business in Eagan, MN. We have been framing art, photographs, memorabilia and everything in between for over 25 years, and we absolutely love what we do. We do everything from simple repairs to complex projects to framing fine art and everything in between, including photo and document restoration. Tami: Hi, I’m Tami Phillippi, and I am the owner of Frame Minnesota here in Eagan. I have been in Eagan for gosh, 25 years now, and I have been framing for all of that time. We do big stuff, we do small things, we do jerseys, we do sports memorabilia, we do fine art tapestries, cross-stitch, you name it, we can frame it.
In addition to picture framing, we offer photo and document restoration services. We got into that really because we saw a need with customers bringing in old photos and documents that were in rough shape. We scan those items or photograph them and give them new life.
We have all the tools. We have all the know-all here. We can fix frames. Frames sometimes fall and break, and sometimes they can be repaired and a lot of times the big box stores just don’t do that. I think a big difference between us and the big box stores is all the work is done right here on site.
Right behind this wall over here we’ve got a full working shop. We just do all the work here. What’s nice about that is we’ve got control. Make a little measuring mistake in the front room and we tend to catch it in the backroom, and everything just goes a lot more smoothly.
I find that design process to be interactive and I like that back and forth. It’s fun. Yeah, I don’t think you’re going to get that online. It’s not bad to go online and check out what you might want and to try some different colors and designs and things like that, but I’ve got that experience and so have the people who work for me, they’ve got the experience of knowing.
I just see it done, and I don’t know, you can’t buy that. I just know how it’s going to look when it’s done and I’m happy to give advice, and we do offer a satisfaction guarantee on our designs for 30 days, so if we recommend something, you get it home, you just don’t like it, you know we’ll take care of it.
